What We Solve

Options MD is a telepsychiatry mental health platform that focuses on patients with depression. Our goal is to help patients that self-identify as having Major Depressive Disorder that may be treatment-resistant. Within this population, we will also treat other psychiatric comorbidities as necessary.

At Options MD we offer an in-house network of specialists who use a collaborative, team-based approach to deliver high quality care, and an online community that provides lasting support and engagement. We enhance the clinician experience with proprietary software that helps promote collaboration and shared decision making between patient and clinician around treatment options.

Who We Are

The founders, Morgan Hewett (former Facebook) and Kyle Pierce (a health-tech attorney), were two best friends who banded together after watching family members spend $300k+ in unsuccessful treatments for severe depression. They are joined by a team of medical researchers, leaders within psychiatry at some of the nations top institutions, engineers, and data scientists to deliver effective and efficient mental health care to high-acuity cases to high-acuity mental healthcare.

The Role

Options MD is looking for a New York-licensed psychiatrist to treat patients remotely on our platform.

You Will

• Perform psychiatric diagnostic assessments
• Analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients and monitor symptoms
• Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis
• Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications
• Develop treatments plans, measure progress against each plan, and adjust plan as indicated
• Provide crisis intervention as needed 
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner 
• Collaborate with Options MD clinical staff and research team to improve patient outcomes and experience
• Coordinate patient care within an interdisciplinary team that may consist of clinical and non-clinical social workers, psychologists, and nurse practitioners
• Supervise nurse practitioners

You Absolutely Have

• Board certification in adult psychiatry
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient experience (more than half of clinical hours dedicated to outpatient for at least 2 years)

You Preferably Have

• Experience working within a private practice 
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
• Experience supervising NPs
• Teaching experience in a clinical setting (resident supervision, etc.)
• Academic affiliation 
• Consulting activity
• Research activity
